Athlete performance testing in Ankara: measure, plan, retest: Training starts with measurement

A functional test battery for amateur and junior athletes, parents and coaches. Results become a written training plan and are re-measured at planned intervals.

What is an athlete performance test?

An athlete performance test measures an athlete's physical capacity in a few core areas using standard methods. It shows strengths and gaps, builds training around them, and tracks progress with later measurements.

Results mean little on their own. They are read alongside the athlete's age, sport, training history and goal. At ME Consultancy this interpretation is done by Prof. Dr. Murat Erdoğan, and the outcome is tied to a written plan.

What does the test battery cover?

The test list is agreed in advance, based on the athlete and the sport. The categories below are examples. Not every athlete does all of them.

We do not promise laboratory equipment. The tests are simple, repeatable field and functional tests, so results can be re-measured under the same conditions months later and compared.

  • Strength: for example lower and upper body strength tests, trunk endurance
  • Speed and agility: for example short sprints, change-of-direction tests
  • Endurance: for example field tests for running or cycling
  • Mobility and balance: for example joint range of motion, single-leg balance
  • Body composition: for example circumference and body composition measures

Who gets tested?

Amateur athletes competing in tennis, running, triathlon, cycling or Hyrox want to base their preparation on data. Parents of junior athletes apply to manage their child's development and training load with more care. Coaches and clubs may request a team assessment to profile a squad.

Athletes with a health problem or regular medication should consult their physician before testing. A performance test is not a health screening.

How do results become a training plan?

Each test maps to a decision in the plan. A weak area gets a place in the weekly schedule, a strong one is maintained. The plan is written around the athlete's competition calendar and daily life.

The retest interval depends on the goal. Typically there is a baseline measurement before the season, then repeat measurements at set intervals as the plan runs. Repeating the same tests in the same way shows progress without leaving it open to interpretation.

How does it work?

  1. Free first call

The athlete, sport and goal are discussed briefly. We confirm whether testing is a fit.

  2. Agreeing the test list

Test categories suited to the sport and age are chosen together beforehand.

  3. Measurement and interpretation

The tests are carried out and results are read alongside the athlete's history and goal.

  4. Plan and retest

A written training plan is provided. Retest dates are built into the plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is a performance test suitable for my child?

For junior athletes, tests are chosen according to age and stage of development. The aim is to track the child's own progress. If you have a health question, consult your physician first.

Do I need to go to a laboratory for the tests?

No. The work relies on simple field and functional tests. The exact list is agreed with the athlete beforehand.

How often should I repeat the test?

It depends on the goal and the training phase. Usually there is a baseline measurement, then repeat measurements at set intervals while the plan runs. Dates are fixed when the plan is written.

Can a team or club be tested?

Yes. Coaches and clubs can request a group assessment. Scope and schedule are set together once you get in touch.

Can test results replace a health check?

No. A performance test is not a medical assessment. The results are for training planning. For health problems, see a physician.
